In Republic, Plato (4th century BC) said that those who outside the cave have looked at the true light of the sun and at things endowed with true being (ideas) can no longer see in the cave afterwards, because their eyes are unaccustomed to darkness.
Arising from the yawn of the earth we wake up crossing the border of all dormant potentials while the illumination of long horizons arrives.
