Spatial orientations, climatic conditions, historical events and cultural traditions weave though the genius loci. "And thence we came forth to see again the stars” to discover, from the sidereal space to the anthropomorphic traces, the south / east-north / west axis on which the villa would be located. The axis on which the ancients wisely founded the Tellaro villa, 4th century BC, and the decumanus of the subsequent Baroque Noto of 1693. This orientation shields against the strong, hot, African winds, favouring the passage towards the north, and guarantees optimal solar exposure to the rooms, improving the osmotic relationship with the surrounding landscape onto which the villa opens through its windows made up of single sliding sheets of glass that disappear into the masonry.
